I joined my Wilderness Network of Georgia friends in a walk around the new trolley line in downtown Atlanta. Our hike leader had done some research and was able to point out several historic buildings along the route.
We stopped at the Farmers Market for breakfast, then walked up over the downtown ridge and down through the Centennial Olympic Park. We toured the new Center for Civil and Human Rights (museum) and then walked back along the eastbound segment.
It was a beautiful day, and I suggest that everyone try the same walk occasionally. I parked at the Martin Luther King, JR historic site parking lot, only a few blocks away, and that is another great place to visit.
